Supplies
There's a big green market in the town center
with all the veggies produced around Pula but mixed with imported goods.
There are something like 3-4 families experimenting with their own
crops, but haven't got enough to sell, nor where they able to grow food
ordered by us in advance... We did try to buy local veggies from the
local eco/permaculture/something_like_that producers for the
EYFA Winter Meeting 2004 but in the end we were just able to find organic apples
So, the veggies we bought for the EYFA WM were produced by a local guy,
that's the only criteria we were able to fulfill. I' not sure what kind
of chemicals do locals around here use, do they use them at all, is it
organic/ecological or not. But I think it's quite fine to buy this kind
of veggies - not from the supermarkets I mean.
I don't know more details about this because I wasn't envolved with
supplies for the WM - it was done by the Monte Paradiso kitchen crew and
a girl from
Green Istria environmental ngo in the
Rojc building? . Their experiences will be used for Thk, so when you come
here just ask them about it.

Volonteers
Some individuals from the Local Monteparadiso crew (
Sapo &
Oleg) are ready to cook. Some people are willing to see cooking as a collective hacking process, having everyone feel responsable for our sustainability.

Food
There will at least be vegan food.

Even having no mass-coking experience at all, I think the most important
point is to have a working kitchen wich means: drinkable water
input/output, something that generates enough heat to cook (usually
portable gas burners) and cooking materials like pots, knifes and
spoons. Do we have it?
We have everything needed for preparing the food, but to eat you should bring your:
- plates (or bowls)
- spoon
- fork
- knife.
Kitchen is equipped with:
- two sinks with drinkable water (and a electric heater)
- large (military) pot (with gas heater on bottom) for cooking delicious food
- electric heater
- gas heater
- 2 refrigerators
- several large pots
- few ladles for serving the food
- pancake stove (for the largest pancakes in the world)
- few plastic containers for dish washing
